ABOUT US
Nick Dolan & Fiona Neilson
We moved from the North East of England to the Isle of Wight in mid 2022. Part of our relocation plan was to use our extensive heritage and management experience to serve heritage projects in Southern England and we have now formed our new business – Heritagency – a combination of our talents and experience in helping to bring the past to life, and helping heritage venues find effective and sustainable futures.
Nick's Experience
Nick has managed heritage collections, places and people for over 30 years. He has worked on a range of significant heritage projects throughout his museum, National Trust and freelance heritage career. This included managing a portfolio of historic properties, landscapes and collections in the North of England for Tyne & Wear Museums and the National Trust, managing Strawberry Hill House in South West London, and acting as Consultant for The Spanish Gallery in Bishop Auckland. Nick has also been involved in tender preparation, scriptwriting, prop-making and performing, including collaboration with Timebandits, a professional team of historical costumed interpreters and re-enactors based in the North East of England.
Fiona's Experience
Fiona has over thirty years of experience in design, fashion and textiles, including lecturing and managing in further and higher education and local authority environments. More recently she has expanded her personal interest of antiques and vintage clothing into a retail business, selling to individuals and trade. She has also been involved with Timebandits and worked with Nick on costumed interpretation.
